SPOTLIGHT: „OM, Namaste, we are one“

In "SPOTLIGHT" I take a closer look at some of my artworks and tell you a little bit more about them...

"I honor the place in you, where the entire universe resides. I honor the place of light, love, truth, peace and wisdom within you. I honor the place where, when you are there and I am there as well, we are only one. -Mahatma Gandhi-

With these words Gandhi described the word "Namasté" and I think the feeling that this word evokes could hardly be better interpreted. In my painting "OM, Namaste, we are one" from the series "It's magic", I have tried to capture this feeling.

Conscious, mindful, together...

The holy syllable "Om" - shown as a symbol in the picture - is supposed to help you to become aware of your own spirit and to arrive in the moment. The word "Namasté", should then carry this awareness to the outside and call the observer to mindfulness and to look at life and all living beings with love and compassion in the heart. Because only then does the "we are one" come into being, only then we understand that all living beings in this world are one. 

Together and with loving eyes, we can see how beautiful the world we live in is. The glittering stones in the picture should emphasize this beauty. I would like to motivate the viewer to perceive what is valuable and beautiful and to live it actively. The glow of the picture should open the heart of the observer so that the warm feeling of love, freedom and bliss can be allowed.

IT'S MAGIC! Dreams can come true...

With these thoughts, "OM, Namaste, we are one" is part of the "It's magic" series. Because my intention behind this entire series of pictures was to bring people a little bit closer to their inner self and - above all! - to listen to it. Wishes, passions, feelings - they all have the right to be heard. Because everything is possible and dreams can come true, you just have to be attentive and go through life with open eyes and a positive attitude. Then you will also discover the sparkle and glitter of life.
